COVID-19 Protocols

  • The sleigh ride contractor will be following current local and state COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Additionally, the contractor and refuge staff have adapted sleigh ride operations to ensure staff and visitor safety. Safety adaptations include: shuttles and sleighs are not operating at full capacity; disinfection of shuttles between uses; and mobile communications for visitors wishing to wait in the safety and comfort of their vehicles.
  • Visitors should dress warmly and consider bringing their own blanket for the sleigh ride.
  • The Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center is not scheduled to be open for the duration of the sleigh ride season. Sleigh ride participants can purchase tickets and check-in for their sleigh ride at the outdoor ticket booth trailer located adjacent to the visitor center in the parking lot.
  • Portable toilets are available to use in the parking lot. The Home Ranch Welcome Center, which has indoor restrooms, is located approximately two blocks south toward the Town of Jackson from the visitor center parking lot.

Please note:
Sleigh riders traveling directly to or from the airport with luggage should note that unattended bags cannot be stored at the visitor center while passengers are out on a ride. Anyone with luggage will need to make prior arrangements for bag storage.
