Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge

Crescent Lake NWR is the perfect place to reconnect with a favorite childhood activity or try it for the first time. Contact Refuge Headquarters to find out more about the best times to fish in specific areas.  

The Refuge is open during daylight hours only, but anglers may enter the Refuge one hour before sunrise and remain until one hour after sunset. 

Non-motorized boats are allowed on all waters open to hunting and fishing. Boats with electric motors only are allowed on Island Lake, Smith Lake, and Crane Lake. Boats with internal combustion (gas-powered) motors are allowed only on Blue Lake.
