Fishing

There are many opportunities for fishing within the Connecticut River Watershed. Trout fishing is popular along reaches of the North and Black Branches of the Nulhegan River within the refuge's Nulhegan Basin Division in Vermont. Nearby Lewis Pond offers wilderness-like fishing opportunities. At the Pondicherry Division in New Hampshire, Cherry Pond and the Johns River offer fishing. For additional information about fishing opportunities within the Conte Refuge boundaries please call 413-548-8002, ext. 113,
