Ways to Get Involved

The Refuge typically hosts 1-2 youth conservation corps crews per year. These opportunities are all accessed by applying to student conservation programs such as American Conservation Experience, Student Conservation Association, and Conservation Corps New Mexico.

Volunteering

San Andres National Wildlife Refuge has irregular and limited volunteer opportunities. Opportunities are usually at the refuge administrative office, not refuge lands. We occasionally need people with construction, maintenance, or mechanic skills as well as people willing to sort digital photographs.  Contact the Refuge Manager at 575-382-5047 to find out about any current opportunities.
