The entrance to Pahranagat's Upper Lake Trail with trail sign, trail, and vegetation pictured.

The three mile Upper Lake Trail encircles the lake and provides an excellent opportunity to see waterfowl throughout the year. Running between the Upper Lake Trail and the refuge’s visitor center, the Davenport Trail climbs into drier desert habitat of the refuge and offers several scenic overlooks. The Cabin Trail and Pahranagat Loop Trail are short, flat, ADA accessible trails both beginning near the visitor center. Hiking is also available on access roads throughout the refuge. Some trails and roads may be temporarily or seasonally closed due to refuge management activities, or sensitive nesting birds. Read more about our hiking trails on the trails page here or view our trail map below.
