Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge

Viewing natural landscapes from the comfort of our cars is is a long-standing tradition in our country. Our Wildlife Loop trail offers visitors this opportunity daily when it opens to vehicles from 3:00 p.m. to dusk. As the loop is always a hiking and biking trail, please drive with caution. Sticking to the speed limit also gives you more time to watch for the water birds, butterflies and beautiful scenery that can be found along the loop.
