Due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control, the 2025 KFD has been canceled. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused any of you. With a little bit of luck, we will be back on schedule in 2026 for this event.
The Kids Fishing Derby is an annual event that takes place the same weekend as the free fishing weekend in Arkansas. There are 3 age groups, 2-5, 6-10, and 11-15 years of age. Trophies are given for biggest fish and most fish caught (can't win both). Prizes are awarded to all. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks are provided at the end to participants and parents/guardians. Registration begins at 8:00 AM. Fishing begins at 9:00 AM for all with different end times for each age group.
