Apply to Join the E-Stamp Program (for State Wildlife Agencies Only)

Electronic purchases of the Federal Duck Stamp (e-stamp) allows customers the ability to purchase a Federal Duck Stamp 24/7 from the convenience of their electronic device. While anyone, anywhere, can purchase an e-stamp from any of the enrolled states, most customers find it efficient to purchase all necessary licenses and permits from one site. Customers pay a small convenience fee to purchase e-stamps and all stamps are handled by the Service’s Duck Stamp distributor.

Once a state is enrolled and set to accept e-stamp purchases, customers can purchase a Federal Duck Stamp online. They are issued an “e-certificate” which provides immediate, nation-wide, use for up to 45 days. Each e-certificate is unique to the purchaser and can be printed or downloaded to their mobile device to be carried on their person while hunting migratory birds. The physical stamp arrives at the customer’s specified address within 30-days.  Once it has arrived the physical stamp must be signed and carried to comply with State and Federal wildlife laws.

Who Needs It?

Currently 28 states are enrolled in the e-stamp program. While anyone anywhere can purchase an e-stamp from any of the enrolled states, most customers find it efficient to purchase all necessary licenses and permits from one site. State Wildlife Agencies wishing to provide this convenience to their customers must first apply and be enrolled in the e-stamp program through the Duck Stamp Office.
