Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery

Friends of Wolf Creek NFH, Inc. (FOWC) was formed as a legal nonprofit organization in 2005, anticipating the opening of the Visitor/Environmental Education Center in 2006. The formalization of the Friends Group was to accommodate the operation of the gift shop and to better support the hatchery. Today, FOWC not only raises funds; but assists with planning and organization of the Catch-A-Rainbow Kids Fishing Derby, Wounded Warriors Fishing Event, Catch A Smile Senior Derby, Reaching For Rainbows Special Needs Kids Fishing Derby, and other smaller events. The FOWC raises awareness of the hatchery programs and events it offers.  Profits the FOWC receives from gift shop sales and donations support Environmental Education programs, caring for Ranger (the Skunk), and many other events and activities.
