Staff, volunteers, and members of the Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery, Inc. worked together to provide the community with a day of free holiday fun! Approximately sixty participants enjoyed making several nature-themed ornaments, meeting Santa and Scout the Trout, reading Christmas stories, and enjoying hot chocolate, cider, and Christmas cookies. Story time was offered every half hour and included multiple Christmas/nature books like The Christmas Fox and Snow Birds. Ornaments included painted/decoupaged tree cookie slices, snowmen out of recycled materials, pinecone reindeer and owls, candy cane reindeer, and more! A special thanks to the Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery, Inc. for offering a discount in the gift shop and suppling a gift basket that was given away during the event!
