Fly Fishing 101 Workshop at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery

On Saturday, April 4, 2026, twenty new anglers joined expert Bill Carman for a hands‑on intro to the world of fly fishing!
Participants kicked things off with a fun, beginner‑friendly classroom session covering gear basics, stream reading tips, and knot‑tying practice. Then it was outside for casting on the lawn before heading to Hatchery Creek for on‑stream instruction.
Everyone wrapped up the day with new skills, newfound confidence, and a free box of flies to keep them fishing!
