The Friends of the Bear River Bird Refuge, in partnership with the Brigham City Rotary Club, will be hosting this year's "Greatest Wild Bird Challenge" Event Day at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge's Visitor Center. From Friday, May 9 to Saturday, May 10 (12:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.), submit any bird photos you take within Box Elder County to the Rotary Club's contest. Best photographs and highest number of bird species photographed will be eligible for prizes. All proceeds from the birding event will be donated to the Friends of the Bear River Refuge.
Special event day activities at the Visitor Center will include a Bird Identification talk by local birder and photographer, Dean Lester, on Friday, May 9 at 4:00 p.m. as well as an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, May 10 at 3:00 p.m.
