Section 7 Consultation with the Arkansas Field Office

In order to improve efficiency in project reviews, the Arkansas Ecological Services Field Office uses IPaC to provide species lists and initiate informal consultations. Instruction for completing a Section 7 consultation or obtaining a species list using IPaC are available at this link.

Range-wide Indiana Bat Survey Guidelines

Indiana Bat and Northern Long-eared Bat Section 7 Consultation and Conservation Strategy - The Federal Highways Administration and the Service, with the Federal Railroad Administration and Federal Transit Administration, completed a range-wide consultation and conservation strategy for Indiana bats and northern long-eared bats in June of 2016.  The programmatic biological opinion that resulted will help expedite the consultation process related to transportation projects and provide a consistent approach to conservation for bats.
