U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Invites Public Comment on Draft Compatibility Determination for Crosby Wetland Management District

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is requesting public comments on a draft compatibility determination related to Basin Electric Power Cooperative’s proposal to construct, maintain, and operate a 230-kV transmission line across Divide County. The project would include installing and maintaining two single-pole structures on one grassland easement tract. Construction is expected to begin in summer 2026 and finish by fall or winter 2027.

Public comments will be accepted for 14 days, from February 13 to COB February 27, 2026.
