Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery hosted the 2022 Holiday Open House after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. With numerous supplies and examples available, participants were able to work their way around the room crafting multiple ornaments. Majority of the crafts/ornaments were created with natural supplies (pine cones, sticks, etc.) and/or recycled materials. Kids, parents, and grandparents alike enjoyed making pine cone bird feeders, candy cane reindeer, mod podge wood slice ornaments, stick/pinecone reindeer, and more!

Hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee, cookies, and two give away items were provided by the Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery, Inc. A special thanks to all the volunteers and Friends Group members who helped set up, assisted participants with crafts, greet visitors, and event clean up! With this being the first Open House since 2019, staff were eager to finally be able to offer this fun and free event to the public once again!
