Cooperative Agriculture Grazing Opportunities at Lake Andes Wetland Management District

Lake Andes Wetland Management District in Pickstown, South Dakota, has cooperative agriculture opportunities grazing on 21 waterfowl production areas in Brule, Charles Mix, Aurora, and Douglas Counties. Cooperators may bid on more than one unit, but may not combine units.

To be considered, applicants must complete and submit a bid form, available via email by contacting Liz Julian at (605) 487-7603 or elizabeth_julian@fws.gov. Sealed bids must be received by 4 p.m. CST on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.  Bids may be submitted by mail or hand delivery to Lake Andes National Wildlife Refuge, P.O. Box 32, Pickstown, SD 57367.

Successful applicants will be objectively ranked based on a combination of their competitive bid(s) and ability to fulfill the target objectives. Bidders must be in a bona fide cattle operation and no sub-leasing is allowed. Applicants will be notified by March 6, 2023.
