The refuge provides year round photography opportunities. The Bob Starr Wildlife Overlook provides a great viewing/photography blind during the spring, fall and winter when large groups of waterfowl congregate. The viewing windows of the visitor center also provide great photography opportunities.

Throughout the year the refuge also offers a free photography contest for all to enter, entries are due every September 2nd of the participating year. Please check out the contest flyer and entry form for more information or contact peter_rea@fws.gov.
