Kentucky Man Indicted for Lacey Act Violation

Charles Hopkins was charged with one count of conspiracy to violate the Lacey Act. The indictment alleges that in spring 2016, 2017, and 2018, the defendant transported and sold shovelnose sturgeon, and its roe, in interstate commerce knowing that the fish were taken in violation of Kentucky law. This case was investigated by the Office of Law Enforcement and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
