Recreational fishing is allowed by boat on Upper Klamath Lake at Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge. All fishing is permitted according to state and federal regulations. Access to the fishing areas is from nearby marinas. Upper Klamath Lake is especially popular for fishing massive redband trout, which routinely grow to 23-25 inches in length.
