The Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge is supported by numerous volunteers of all ages. Become a volunteer today and help conserve and protect our nation’s wildlife and teach thousands of visitors that their actions today determine the conservation legacy for tomorrow. 

To apply for a volunteer position, please fill out and return a Volunteer Service Application to hobesound@fws.gov. Please include “Volunteer Application” in the subject line.

Volunteer Opportunities

Administration/Telephone Reception Answer incoming telephone calls and do minor administrative work.

Maintenance - Maintain Refuge lands, trails, facilities, and equipment.
