Facility Activities

Visitors to the Lostwood Management District have the opportunity to hunt, fish, trap, observe wildlife, and photograph the wildlife and surrounding landscapes.

There are 56 Waterfowl Production Areas (WPAs) within the Lostwood Wetland Management District. The WPAs have rolling hills and scattered wetlands that characterize the Coteau prairie in two northwestern North Dakota counties. The WPAs are open to hunting in accordance with State regulations....

The fishing opportunities in Lostwood Wetland Management District (WMD) are very marginal most years, but fishing is offered in accordance with State regulations. No fishing facilities or amenities are available on lands in the WMD.

Many refuges champion wildlife viewing as a key recreational activity.
