Previous volunteers have assisted refuge staff in projects including invasive plant removal, out-planting native plants, fence construction, and other maintenance needs. The refuge is not open to the public on a regular basis; however, Nēnē o Molokaʻi, a nonprofit organization located on the island is provided a Special Use Permit each year to conduct group opportunities.
