Painting, drawing, and journaling are not just a relaxing activities for many, it can also be a great teaching tool for educators and group leaders. For this reason, we encourage visitors to take the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge through painting, drawing, or nature journaling.

We encourage educators, youth leaders, and scout leaders to consider the Junior Duck Stamp Art and Design Contest. It provides a science-based arts curriculum that emphasizes conservation of wetlands and waterfowl for students in grades K-12.

During the winter months, the refuge will host virtual paint parties. Please follow our Facebook Page for the latest information.
