Refuge staff give guided van tours related to birds, management, and historical structures from time to time and offer on-site environmental education programs for school classes and other youth groups as schedules permit.  A program focusing on wetlands - "It's a Frogs Life" takes place annually in the spring at Kreuger Lake on the Jefferson County Park,close to the refuge office.  Staff also host Conservation Field Days and other special programs in cooperation with the Big Oaks Conservation Society and Jefferson County Park.  Contact the office for the latest program schedule.
