Biking is a good way to see wildlife, learn about habitats and photograph nature. Yield to pedestrians; all hatchery routes multi-use trails. E-bikes are permitted on any hatchery roads and trails where traditional bicycle use is allowed. 

From bald eagles to black capped chickadees, birds abound at Craig Brook as the various trail systems provide forested habitat and the nearby lakes offer scenic panoramic views.

The 2.5 mile trail system of Craig Brook offer the opportunity for various activities throughout all seasons. 

Access to ice skating on Lake Alamoosook and Craig Pond may be possible during the winter months. Ensure ice conditions are safe before taking part in any such activities.  

Many multi-purpose trails are open to runners and joggers as well as walkers and, in some cases, bicyclists.

Painting and sketching in nature is possible at nearly all sites open to the public.

Whether you wield a smartphone or a zoom lens, you’ll find photo-worthy subjects at national wildlife refuges and national fish hatcheries. 

Picnic tables can be found along the edge of Alamoosook Lake. The beach of Craig Pond also provides an area available for picnics. 

Access to Lake Alamoosook and Craig Pond for scuba diving and snorkeling may be possible outside of the winter months. Ensure conditions are safe before taking part in any such activities.
