News Flash !!! News Flash !!! Walk extended to October 20
You can still "go for a walk" all week long, with our continuing Friends of Patuxent's fun and educational Walk for the Wild (WFTW)! The Walk is part of a national nonprofit annual campaign on behalf of America's more than 560 national wildlife refuges, wetland management districts and marine national monuments. Take the Walk for your own enjoyment; support Friends of Patuxent's Team Whooping Crane. Pick up your free trail map and interpretive guide, as well as your beautiful, free WFTW participant stickers and children's activity booklets at the National Wildlife Visitor Center front desk, daily, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, through this Friday, 10/20. Families can use our Friends' group's Walk guide as a springboard for Patuxent's children's patch-earning program activity booklets. Participation is free; no donation required, and no registration.
