Storybook Trail Featuring: Salamander Dance, by David FitzSimmons
Join us for a celebration at Fort River Birding and Nature Trail as we witness the migration of salamanders back to their aquatic homes for spring and summer. This is the time of year when warm, rain-soaked nights encourage salamanders to migrate from their winter resting places to nearby vernal pools. "Salamander Dance" written by David FitzSimmons, celebrates this annual migration, revealing the secret lives of salamanders. You can enjoy reading this book while you stroll along the trail this April 2025.
