38th Annual Summer Lecture Series

Join us for the 38th Annual Summer Lecture Series, held on Wednesday nights in July and August at 7 p.m. This free event is held in the Norm Dicks Visitor Center Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and attendance is limited to 100. On August 13, meet Dr. Jane Mangold and get your hands on some local weeds! This lecture will feature invasive plants growing in the area and beyond, in fact all the way to the semi-arid grasslands of Montana! We'll talk about what invasive plants are, why we are concerned about them, how we manage them, and how people can work together to keep them from spreading.

Jane Mangold is a Professor and Invasive Plant Extension Specialist at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. She has been researching and teaching others about invasive plants, mostly in the Northern Great Plains and Northern Rocky Mountains, for about 25 years. She has a B.S. From Iowa State University and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Montana State University.
