The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) is in the process of revising the 1982 Mexican Wolf Recovery Plan. We are seeking comment from the public on the draft revised recovery plan from June 30 to August 29, 2017. The Mexican Wolf Recovery Plan guides the agency’s efforts and those of its partners with the ultimate goal of removing this wolf subspecies from Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections. A draft revised recovery plan is now available for public review and input through a public comment period and series of public meetings.
The dates and times of these public information meetings are as follows:
- July 18, 2017 (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.): Flagstaff: Northern Arizona University, Prochnow Auditorium, South Knowles Drive, Flagstaff, AZ 86001;
- July 19, 2017 (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.): Pinetop: Hon-Dah Resort, Casino Banquet Hall, 777 AZ–260, Pinetop, AZ 85935.;
- July 20, 2017 (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.): Truth or Consequences: Ralph Edwards Auditorium, Civic Center, 400 West Fourth, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901;
- July 22, 2017 (2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.): Albuquerque: Crowne Plaza Albuquerque, 1901 University Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
