Shawn Moore

Shawn Moore began working at the San Marcos Aquatic Resources Center as an SCA intern in spring 2022 and joined the Edwards Aquifer Refugia Program as a Biological Science Technician in January 2023. He facilitates daily care, wild stock collection, and captive rearing efforts for all aquatic species housed in the refugia. In his new position Shawn is taking point on the captive culture of food-source species and the creation of a tissue sample archive for future genetic application. Shawn previously worked as a disease research technician collecting biological samples for chronic wasting disease detection and management in west Texas.
