About Kate Norman

Kate Norman is the Assistant Regional Director for Ecological Services in the Pacific Region. Kate grew up in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and attended Oregon State University where she earned degrees in Botany, Environmental Science, and International Studies. She started her career with the Service in 2005 and has worked in the field, region, and headquarters; she returned to the Pacific Region in 2018 and became the Assistant Regional Director in 2021. Kate has a passion for innovation and collaboration and has spent her career working with others to find creative ways to achieve conservation.

Throughout her career, Kate has distinguished herself as a relentless innovator, a trusted collaborator, and an inclusive leader. Importantly, she is attentive to the well-being of Service employees, and never ceases her work to improve our collective workplace.
