In 2011, Christy moved to Alaska to serve as the Executive Director of Tyonek Tribal Conservation, where she spent the next nine years learning from the people of Tyonek and growing the organization. Christy gained valuable experience while detailing in the EELD role in 2022, where she led a cross-programmatic team to develop and implement the first New Employee Orientation for the region.
