Overview

A small annual plant in the pea family. The species is only known to occur in a 206-acre area in the central portion of the Monterey Peninsula. The species is a classic fire follower, taking advantage of reduced forest cover that allows a significantly higher proportion of light to reach the herbaceous ground cover for the first few years after a fire.
