A refuge wildlife biologist leads as wildflower walk.

The refuge offers ranger and volunteer-led interpretive programs on natural and cultural topics throughout the year. Examples of these include programs on specific plant and animal species that live on the refuge (shorebirds, woodcock, crabs, terrapins, etc.) as well as history talks, nature walks (spring wildflowers, fall foliage, etc.) and activities (archery, fishing). We also offer virtual programming. All refuge-sponsored interpretive programs are free of charge. Call the Visitor Services Manager at 860-399-2513 for more information. You can make requests for specific ranger-led programs.
