The Wildlife Drive on the Monte Vista NWR is approximately 2.5 miles long and provides excellent viewing of the mixed habitats that are found throughout the refuge.  The central focus of the route will highlight the wetlands and wet meadow habitats that numerous waterfowl and water-birds use throughout the year.  Areas of open water and upland habitats are also visible, which hold a wide array of animal and bird species.  Visitors will also find a comfort station, information kiosk, interpretive signs, and the short Meadowlark Trail while out on the Wildlife Drive.
