To prevent human disturbance which may lead to increased mammalian and avian predation, visitor access to Chase Lake National Wildlife Refuge is restricted. Wildlife viewing is best accomplished with binoculars or a spotting scope from Chase Lake Pass or other area roads.

At the Refuge Manager's discretion, a Special Use Permit may be obtained to enter the Refuge to observe the pelicans. Please consult the Refuge Manager and current regulations before entering the Refuge to view the bird colonies.
