The Auto Tour Route is open sunrise to sunset. This leisurely 12 mile drive takes you out onto the Bear River Delta. The end of the Bear River is the beginning of the Auto Tour Route.  The Auto Tour Route is a gravel road, which can be bumpy especially in winter, but buses, 2 wheel drives, and RV can access nature's wonders year round. Stop by the restrooms before heading out on the Route as there are no restrooms after leaving the parking area at the beginning. Remember to enjoy the drive at 25 mph, pull over to allow others to pass, and only exit your vehicle in designated areas. Pets are allowed outside the vehicle only on a leash.

In Spring large clouds of non-biting midges may be seen.  While the midges are harmless, you may want to keep your windows rolled up.
