Notice of public comment period for NANA Regional Broadband Network project draft Compatibility Determination

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) – Selawik National Wildlife Refuge has prepared a draft Compatibility Determination (CD) for a right-of-way for construction, maintenance, and operation of a telecommunications line on Service lands.  The Service invites interested persons to make comments on the draft CD as it affects their interest in the area and on how the construction, maintenance and operation of a telecommunications line may affect refuge purposes and/or the mission of the National Wildlife Refuge System.  

The CD is available online here, and hard copies are available at 160 2nd Ave, Kotzebue, Alaska.

Comments may be submitted via email to: selawik@fws.gov or via mail to: Selawik National Wildlife Refuge – Refuge Manager, PO Box 270, Kotzebue, AK 99752. 

Comments will be accepted through February 27, 2026.
