About Us

For more than 60 years, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Ecological Services program has protected and restored fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats. Our roots trace back to the River Basins Program that reviewed federal water development projects. Since 1945, Ecological Services’ responsibilities have expanded to include reviews of most federal construction projects, endangered species, environmental contaminants and a variety of conservation partnerships and grants.

Other Facilities in this Complex

The Minnesota-Wisconsin Ecological Services Field Office works to conserve and protect endangered species and their habitats and support landscape-scale habitat restoration in the Great Lakes. Our team is divided among three suboffices located in Bloomington, Minnesota, Green Bay and Madison, Wisconsin.
