June 28, 2010, Gulf Shores, AL Protocol for all sea turtle nests in Alabama is to evaluate the location and move the nest, if it is too close to the water. This nest relocation was not associated with the oil spill in any way. However, its SECOND move, near day 51, is a direct result of the oil spill.
