Moving the shipbuilder's model of La Galga

This picture shows refuge personnel moving the La Galga replica into the Herbert H. Bateman Education Center. On Saturday, April 4, 2009, a scale model of La Galga was unveiled at the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. Present were the author, Bill Bane, model builder, Gene Parker, Ned Middlesworth, John Jester, Vice Mayor of Chincoteague, The Honorable Glenn C. Nye, Congressman for the 2nd District in Virginia, Eugene Marino, Chief Archaeologist, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Charles George, Wreck Diving Magazine, Myrna Cherrix, President of the Chincoteague Natural History Aassociation; and Lou Hinds, manager of the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge.
