Mission Blue butterfly

This photo of a male Mission Blue butterfly was taken on the Southeast ridge of San Bruno Mountain, California. As of 14 December 2009, the 'mission blue Butterfly' (Icaricia icarioides missionensis) is listed as Endangered under the U.S. Endangered Species Act.
