New England Warblers - Lecture by Bill Gette

Another wonderful free program sponsored by the Friends of Parker River NWR!

Join Bill Gette, former Director of Joppa Flats Education Center and President of Friends, to learn about Wood-Warblers, the Gems of the Forest, one of the most exciting groups of birds.

Living in New England, we are blessed by the several warbler species that move into our area in the spring to nest, and we get to see the warblers which pass through our area in the spring and fall on their way to and from northern breeding ranges.

During his richly illustrated PowerPoint presentation, Bill will show you images of 30 warbler species and review their taxonomy and nomenclature, discuss key aids to field identification, explain their migration strategies, and review important areas where you can find warblers.

To participate in this valuable webinar, please email www.friends@parkerriver.org and enter WARBLERS as the subject - Zoom information will be mailed Tuesday evening, May 2.
