Join us for Sketching Wildflowers, a chance to photographlupine, hoary puccoon, beardtongue and wild roses near the Oak Savanna Learning Center before sketching what’s in bloom with colored pencils. Registration is required for this program, see below for details.
This free program is best for anyone interested in sketching, wildflowers or starting a nature journal. We’ll likely see some butterflies and dragonflies, too, during a short session on photographing flowers with phone cameras. The walk will have frequent stops on a crushed granite trail and can be shortened for anyone with mobility limitations. We’ll head inside the visitor center or gather at the amphitheater to draw, weather permitting.
Any cancellation notice will be communicated on the Friends Facebook Page, the refuge website and via email to registered participants.
