Join H2Ohio and Ottawa NWR for an on the water experience at Nehls Memorial Nature Preserve in Port Clinton. There are two programs this day: 10:30am-12:00pm & 1:00pm-2:30pm. Both programs are beginner friendly and completely FREE. After discussing water safety, we will be heading out in our sit-in kayaks for an hour and a half scenic paddle throughout the harbor where we will discuss water quality, habitat, and maybe see some wildlife up close! We will be meeting at the kayak launch at 4400 E Muggy Rd, Port Clinton, OH 43452 (41.535152, -82.848614). Participants will need to park in the gravel lot and walk to the launch.
LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. All programs are subject to change or cancellation. Children must be at least 10 years old and/or able to paddle on their own and always be accompanied by an adult.
