Peat—the unsung hero of carbon capture! Learn what makes this muck so special on this guided hike by Wildlife Refuge Specialist Matt Boarman and learn about the work we are doing to restore these wetlands on the refuge!
Participants should meet at the Visitor Center. The group will carpool to a closed section of the refuge for this guided walk. The walk will take place on slightly uneven terrain with the possibility of mud for a total of one and a half miles.
