Bird Walk, Pickleball Play, and Trivia

**Please note:  These activities are only for participants staying on-site at the National Conservation Training Center, Shepherdstown, WV.

  • CANCELED - Early Morning Bird Walk

Take a 1-hour bird walk before your course or event with NCTC ornithologist Jim Siegel, meeting at the Bridge at the Commons, binoculars provided.  Wear good walking shoes and a coat.  We will walk along NCTC paths through the woods and around Central Pond and back.    Birds we will observe by sight and sound include Northern Cardinal, Carolina Wren, Eastern Bluebird, Red-bellied Woodpecker, and Red-winged Blackbird, among others



Meet in Commons Lobby by 6:25 AM on Tuesday morning.

  • Pickleball Pointers (5:00 - 6:30 PM ET)

Come play the fastest-growing sport in the country!  All skill levels are welcome; easy to learn!  Pointers on serving, keeping score, and basic rules provided.
