It’s time for the Bears Bluff National Fish Hatchery Kids Fishing Day!!
When: Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 8:00am to noon.
Who: Kids 12 years old and under.
What to Bring: Bring your own fishing rod(s), tackle, and fish bait (live worms, crickets, or minnows work best). A stringer for each kid participating is highly recommended because there will be prizes for most fish and biggest fish caught. You may find a cooler, ice, and bug spray useful to have on hand.
Cost: Free
Kids Fishing Day is in promotion of National Fishing Week. Bears Bluff National Fish Hatchery is providing a free fishing area for children ages 12 and under. Children will be allowed to keep all the fish they catch and prizes will be awarded at the end of the day. The pond is stocked with channel catfish and has bass and bream.
