About Karman Morgan
Born in Dothan, AL, Karman grew up in Athens, AL. She earned a B.S. in Animal Science from Auburn University were she also volunteered at the Southeastern Raptor Rehabilitation Center. While working as a middle school and high school science teacher, she earned her M.S. in Biology from the University of Nebraska Kearney. After teaching for 13 years, she was hired at Alabama A&M University (AAMU) to be the biochemical/biotechnical research assistant for project with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). During this time, Karman started her doctoral studies with AAMU in Plant & Soil Science. Leaping at the opportunity to work with the USFWS, she eagerly applied and accepted the Pathways Internship Position at the TNFO. Karman received her PhD in December 2025. When not working or attending school, Karman enjoys traveling with her husband and son.
