Trisha Denise Meyer, of Houston, Texas was charged in a four-count indictment with interstate transportation of an endangered species in the course of commercial activity, interstate sale of an endangered species, trafficking prohibited wildlife species, and trafficking endangered species. Also, Abdul Rahman, of Murrieta, California was charged with interstate transportation of an endangered species in the course of commercial activity, trafficking prohibited wildlife species, and trafficking endangered species. After allegedly being bought and sold twice, and traveling across state lines, the jaguar cub eventually was left at an animal rescue center in Alpine, California.
